  1. if you have healty foods and stil much more urination, night urination, having too much water and meal ; your diabetes is not reversed. picking glucose level is not just one inidicator.

    1. And, you may also have other damage by that time. One’s diabetic numbers may seem in control but a person may still be insulin resistant and dealing with diabetes related damage… the phrase “reverse diabetes” does not mean the “fight” is over, sadly.

  2. Thanks, Dennis, for everything. It’s funny i checked my sugar before i started watching your video at 7 am. in michigan and was 93, which was a great level vs. a year ago used to be 130 to 150. Great video. It’s the way of life, low carbs.

  3. Good morning Dennis, great catching you this morning. I need to conquer my high morning reading 😢

  4. Give it up.
    You’re playing word games.
If the new doctor did a c-peptide test he might have a different answer than your proposed ignorant new doctor who only checked hbA1c level.
Or a glucose tolerance test, your new doctor would have to be a really lousy doctor not to check these things if you asked to get checked for diabetes.

    1. Thse tests are ideal, for sure. Reality though, C-peptide tests and oral glucose tolerance tests (OGTT) are not automatic for all diabetes patients. Doctors order these specific tests only under certain clinical circumstances to answer distinct questions about a patient’s condition. The standard, automatic tests used to screen, diagnose, and routinely monitor diabetes are the Hemoglobin A1C test and fasting blood glucose tests. Another example of different Dr and agency p[ractices: VA gives only enough test strips for testing one’s own glucose every other day (1 x) if you are not on shots.

  5. “Our international group of experts suggest an HbA1c (average blood glucose) level of less than 6.5% at least three months after stopping diabetes medication as the usual diagnostic criterion for diabetes remission,” said statement author and Editor in Chief of the ADA’s Diabetes Care, Matthew Riddle of Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Ore. Riddle is chair of the Diabetes Remission Consensus writing group that developed the statement. “We also made suggestions for clinicians observing patients experiencing remission and discussed further questions and unmet needs regarding predictors and outcomes.”

  6. Thank you for your part in helping me. Several on here have played a part. I had an A1c of 6.5 and 4 months later it is 5.6 😊

  7. I just had a friend tell me it can’t be healed. But then again, that friend and her family take every medicine the doctor prescribes and doesn’t even question it. And they are on a lot of them.

  8. My A1C on my latest test last week is now 5.2. It dropped a bit. 62 and my A1C is better now than in my 40s and 50’s. A ton of weight lost, catching it early, and not having and A1C through the roof before I changed my ways (becasuse of theis channel) I would say I helped me reverse it. I have proof with testing foods that I would have considered poison to me when I started this journey that now give me perfectly normal rises. The caveat is that I can certainly reverse the reversal if I go back to my old ways. This is why Iiken it to losing weight. If I go back to eating the way I did I will surely gain it all back and with all the possible complications as well.

  9. A lot of people, not classified as diabetics, get blood glucose spikes over 200 mg/dl by eating 3-4 pieces of pizza. Most elderly who eat whatever they want, including ice cream, are likely already on diabetic meds. Many people are not willing to change their diet to aid in their health.

  10. I believe it’s reversible. I say this because I’ve noticed changes. After years of low carb eating, I have been able to eat things like sweet potatoes without experiencing a spike that doesn’t go back to a normal range. I don’t eat them often at all but it’s great to see that low carb eating does help my body heal itself. This has been my experience.

    1. It all depends on the root cause, some people lose beta cells that produce insulin.
Other people retain the beta cells and produce plenty of insulin but cells become insensitive to it after being bombarded with high insulin because of eating too many carbs long term.
This type of person can recover by stopping the carbs and letting the insulin sensitivity recover.
It sounds like you are mostly the second type of person.
You recovered your insulin sensitivity by giving your body breaks inbetween the carb hits.
