Wow, very excited for this video! Thank you!! 😊
Hope you like it!
This topic is so timely for me! Thank you Chalene ❤
You are so welcome 💜
I HATE Getting old . I’m 61 n I wake up tired after sleeping for hours , I get depressed, I cry alot. I wish I could rewind 20 yrs. I do get forgetful
Linda you are not old!! It is never too late! Are you taking any supplements to support brain health? If not, that would be a great place to start. 🥰
@@chalenejohnson❤❤❤
I absolutely enjoyed this episode. So much good information. Thank you ❤.
Zumba is the solution!! + healthy diet & loving attitude ☺️…dogs help 🥰
@lindageiling5922,
Dwelling on the past will not change what happened. But, you can control where you are mentally & emotionally, as well as what you do today and what you can do with the rest of your LIFE! The PRESENT IS A GIFT 🎁 & ALL WE HAVE IS RIGHT NOW. So, make different choices and get a better outcome! 🎉😅❤🤗🥰
I would bet that you are not sleeping well at all. I have had Fibromyalgia for decades, and poor sleep is one of the many symptoms. So, I would get up in the morning, more tired than when I went to bed…😢 Finally, I moved to a different area and my new doctor did a Sleep Study and I was referred to a Sleep Specialist for Sleep Apnea and jaw clenching from tension. Boy, what a difference it has made in my life! I also went on a Keto Diet which helped a little in energy and mood. But, when I went mostly CARNIVORE, there was a HUGE IMPROVEMENT in my MOOD and ENERGY!🎉😅
It has also reduced my aches and pains substantially!😂 I got the info from Dr Peter Osborne’s book NO GRAIN NO PAIN, & he’s not joking. It reduces the GLUTEN caused inflammation that causes Brain Fog & also the aches and pains in our joints and muscles! This also affects our pets, so on Grain-Free food they have no more Hot Spots or itchy skin and fatigue! 😊 🐕 🐈 🐎 ❤
So, I highly recommend you change your diet, by reducing or removing as many carbs, ie Glutens, processed foods, seed oils and sugars as possible. Use only animal products, like Grass-fed BUTTER, CHEESES, YOGURT, & MEATS OF ALL KINDS, especially add on more fatty RED MEATS! You will quickly start to feel much better. 👍🏻 Our brains and bodies need FATS to function. They lied to us about fat, it was really sugar and refined carbs that convert to sugar that is ruining our health and making us fat and Diabetic!😢😤😡 Watch Dr Chaffee, Dr Ken Berry, also Steak and Butter Gal, to get more info, regarding cholesterol and other concerns.
Also, it’s very important to get outside in Nature every single day and take a walk for a good hour. You can incorporate a bit of fast walking, jogging or bicycling as your stamina and strength improve. 🚲 🏃♂️
You will be amazed at the difference in your mindset and physical Well-Being.
For helpful ways to control your wandering depressive thoughts, watch Eckhart Tolle! He helps us learn to quiet the repetitive depressing thoughts by quietly observing & noticing the flowers, leaves, a bird, clouds etc around us.
I would start with his interview with Oprah Winfrey on the Power of Now, (his book). It was a worldwide broadcast that went on for at least a week & the questions and his answers will give you a good overview of what the book covers and what it actually means as well as how to incorporate the mind exercises into daily practice.
Make 2025 Your Best Year Ever! 🎉😅❤ WooHoo!
You got this! If I can overcome being bedridden for 30 years, you certainly can improve your life now, when you have a good 30-40 years yet of living to do! Make each day going forward, better than the last one!
Do it TODAY, START RIGHT NOW! Go out for a nice walk and think about what you can have for your next meal with MEATS in it… 🎉😊 🍖

Hello, thank you for this great information. I love it. I really feel you need both labs and how you feel. I take thyroid medication and when I first started taking them I didn’t feel any better. But the Dr was happy because he looked at the labs and my numbers were good. So I went to another doctor and helped me with my thyroid and my hormones. I’m so much better.
Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s so important to listen to both your body and your doctors. I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better! 🥰
Great info.. thank you 😊Charlene ❤
what a wonderful video Chalene…. you are such a gift!!! I can totally relate to the alcohol question… I also want to just enjoy a few drinks from time to time… but I guess the truth is – it is toxic… period 🙁
LOVE the dress! 💖
I love Dr. Amen! He has so much information, i just can’t get enough. His books are great!
I agree he is the BEST!! 😍
Dr. Amen I would love to hear your take on genetic mutations such as MTHFR and COMT these play a role in mental health also.😊
Great topic!! Thank you!
My personal takeaways from this lovely interview- get my creatine, omega 3s & Vit D daily. I do know this info but have dropped off taking them. I’m already on the HRT and feeling SO much better! Thank you Chalene & Dr Amen ❤.
What do you take for hrt if I may ask?
and don’t consume alcohol
@@ammaralkhanchi8406 estradiol patch and progesterone pills+ estradiol cream.
I’ve been taking Krill and K2 for years as well as some other amazing supplements and a clean, high protein diet with veggies and fruit too. And no jabs or pharmaceuticals etc either. As well as weight lifting. I’m 51 and look and feel 30.
Love this! ❤
Thank you, Chalene. Once again your content is exactly what I need. As I was listening to this episode a question would pop into my head, and you ALWAYS asked the question. I appreciate your practical follow-ups. I so agree that you need labs and questionnaires. I sought the advice of a menopause specialist before starting HRT. She asked me how I feel. FEEL? I don’t know. I’m a teacher and a mother. I just do things. Power through. Get Sh&% done. I don’t know how I feel. I think women need to get baseline labs every 5 years or so starting when they’re young, so we know what normal hormone levels are for us when we start perimenopause. Thanks for all you do and keep doing it!
Thank you so much for sharing this! You are spot on—so many women just power through and forget to check in with how they actually feel. Regular labs and knowing your baseline is crucial and it’s time we normalize prioritizing our health, especially hormones. We got this!!
Hello Chalene, Wow!! Thank you for having Dr Amen the #1 brain expert on and all the great information!!. Video was very helpful ❤❤ Thank you 💖
Glad it was helpful!
You’re forgetting that most people don’t have the money to go to his clinic and get tested…
I’m glad somebody said it 🙈
Maybe this will become under insurance soon MAHA❤
I hope so
Dr Amen – you are sooo on the right track. Not all of us can afford this type of healthcare. But its the right care.
So interesting, thank you Chalene for always having great guests who are experts and know what they are talking about
I love the topics you choose & your guests are always so knowledgeable. Thank you so much!!
Great episode
great, thank you all, lovely talk, always need to hear dr amen again to get his advice into my thick skull, as Goethe said, knowing is not enough, you have to apply! well done Chalene for giving up alcohol, i’m finding it difficult, will drink a little red wine and a couple of beers (socially etc) trying to find tasty non-alcoholic drinks! (actually there’s a couple of beers that have appeared which are 0 alcohol and quite good) I need more discipline. Thanks Chalene, bright and beautiful, just joined 👍
I read Dr. Amens book years ago. Time to get back on track. I want a brain scan now. Wonderful talk and inspirational.
