that just blew my mind I never thought of it like that
Easy to say when your work pays you $20m for 1/8th the work of what every other person does.
Most people won’t make $3m over their lifetime.
And I’m not saying he isn’t working hard. But if you can the actor $20m for 1 movie, them a lifetime of royalties, maybe you’re overcharged for seeing the movie.
Same with sports, I can’t afford to bring my kids to a game, but they are paying 1 guy $700m for a couple years
So instead of being jealous why don’t you work hard to learn acting and make the sacrifices necessary to get to the top like him?
His message is correct- anyone can become as successful as they wish. The Rock don’t wake up one morning with a $20mm movie contract
He had to work hard but enjoy the process
Every successful self made person has had this attitude- they don’t wallow in jealousy they instead take action with no excuses
