  1. It was a huge adjustment for me when I started working from home. One of the biggest helpful things I did was stop replying to the question “what are you doing?” with either “nothing” or ambiguous reply, or something that belittled my job, like “just working.”
When I started replying to friends and family with “I’m organizing our immunization records so that we have that information for the vet,” or I’m doing data entry so that we have an accruate inventory count for our meeting with the bank next week.” Is usually met with, “I’m sorry to bother you” instead of “can you?”
If I am swamped, I’ll let the conversation end. If not, I’ll usually ask what they need and schedule a later time to either help them with that need or talk about it further.
It’s the best thing that has ever helped me get the chaos under control since moving from an office setting to a home office setting. Most of us don’t get the space we need if we reply with “I’m busy,” or “I’m swamped.” Being specific I have learned, lets me control when I help other people with their projects.

    1. Same here! Looking analysis paralysis right in the eyes 😆💪 PS I’ll circle back in past videos but If you have anything on that and planning for your month ahead, I’d be so grateful! Kind of goes hand in hand with this one but. Further. And space for the prévisible imprévisible. Anyway hope this is kind of clear English being my second language 😆
