Drank for 25 years, sober for 7, my life’s immeasurably improved without it.

Alcohol just masks anxiety, but in the long run, it hurts you. To make it easier to quit, try this:
    – Start with a month without alcohol to see the difference.
    – Replace drinking with relaxing activities like meditation or exercise.
    – Talk to friends or family for support.”
Quitting alcohol isn’t easy, but you’ll be amazed at the changes 🤝💯

Incredibly powerful, told without judgement and undeniable, irrefutable evidence of the effect alcohol has on the mind, body, and spirit.

We drink to NOT feel. To NUMB. To fill the hole in the soul. We are unable to live life on life’s terms.

I have never drank alcohol. It is a weird phenomenon how much society bases everything around alcohol and how much you are looked down on when you don’t. It is the look you get, like you have bananas coming out of your ears, when you say you don’t drink. In a way it is like high school mentality had never left their conscience.

My 2nd day sober, I’m 46 . I lost everything my family now I’m all alone.

  • @classic.cameras says:

I’d just love to quit. But everytime I do I find myself short of breath and amazingly bad acid reflux. My teeth start to hurt, my joints start to hurt. I started to drinking only for pain relief and wow when it all comes back its so so hard to say now.

  • @patrickk8951 says:

The last time I drank was December 15th of 2016. On the morning of December 16th of 2016 I woke up, and decided that qas the day I would quit drinking. I went cold turkey. I didn’t wean myself down or nothing. I lived for 17 years as a black out drunk killing myself daily with how much I drank. When I quit on the morning of December 16th 2016 was one month to the day my grandmother died. I felt it was her telling me to quit all this foolishness. I did, and never tasted alcohol since. I know I can’t ever drink alcohol again in my life as it will destroy me, and everyone in my life.
