I tried lazy dirty keto for a couple months. Didn’t work at all for me. I did the keto bread and the keto bars. Both of these didn’t really spike my glucose (about 135 mg/dl) one hour after, but they kept the glucose elevated for hours. I think the problem arises from the processed proteins and high fiber. The processed proteins can be rapidly absorbed and turned into glucose, and the increased fiber in the products slows the absorption causing the prolonged absorption and high glucose for hours.

Very good information on dirty keto

Hi Dennis, When you say diet soda doesn’t spike blood sugar I wonder if that includes an insulin spike. Is it different? I’ve read that diet soda can increase insulin and the sweet taste has the same effect on the body as it does thinking sugar is consumed.

    • @savagepro9060 says:

Yes, insulin is affected, but as with anything else, different people respond differently!

    • @launderedcotton8070 says:

He did say it slightly lowered his glucose, so it seems insulin was in play, imho.

  • @lindabuckner9006 says:

Dennis, I’ve learned more common sense information from you than any doctor I’ve listened to and I always recommend your videos. Thank you and God bless!

  • @bentkm says:

Excellent video Dennis, thank you. I agree with an earlier commentator here, who says she has learnt more common sense information from you than any doctor. True!

  • @Willow70 says:

I don’t eat the bars but I eat the zero bread and I drink diet soda and zero carb drinks . I eat McDonalds once in awhile . I take 10mg Jardiance everyday and I do fine with that . Everyone is different and some people can eat different than you . Ozimpic is putting the Keto people out of business. People no longer have to do keto they can just take a shot and lose weight easy Peezy.

Until they sprout a third arm or something from this VERY NEW drug on their body, imho.

  • @Willow70 says:

I totally agree with you .i wear the Lingo and I know what spikes my Glucose

I participated in three 24 hr dirty fastings in the past 3 weeks. Low glucose and low spike is my key that controls my metabolic system. This was a very interesting video, Dennis!

One time I ate potatoes before a blood test and when the doctor looked at the results he thought I had sneakily eaten a candy bar!

  • @charliehoell9466 says:

I’m different, it seems that 3 carbs is my limit, I do not do well with more.

  • @lauriepoole6353 says:

Ever since I lost 30 pounds and reversed my prediabetes and other high lab results a few years ago I find i can eat whatever I want as long as its smaller portions and keep my weight down. I quit the meds and my doctor orders labs every 3 months and they always come back normal, including A1C. The only thing I quit using is sugar.
