This is what it takes to become known.
1. Speak to your Instagram stories daily. I require three story posts from my clients per day—not just because it’s good marketing, but because confidence speaking in public takes reps. These will be the hardest ones that make you better fast.
2. Choose a real name for your ideal customer and create for them. I call my community “Charlotte.” It keeps me focused on the one person I help the best, so when they see my content and offers, they know they’re in the right place.
3. Act as though you’re already making the money you need to be. Decisions made from a place of lack will keep you right where you are. It’s not “I need to make $100K but I’m not yet”—it’s “I’m doing $100K and need to get to $500K. What needs to happen next?”
4. Ignore every brand deal that enters your inbox. When you post content online, other companies will want to borrow your face to talk about their thing. It’s a distraction. You didn’t take this risk to become an employee of another company. Build yours.
5. Post a reel on Instagram every day. Never say your audience isn’t on Instagram. They are. You need to attract them instead of deciding they’re somewhere else.
6. Host a stories Q&A every single week. I do mine on Friday. Q&A is a great way for people who are unclear about you to get more clarity on how you help. If no one asks you questions, put the questions you wish you were being asked in the box. No one will know it’s you. Everyone does it. Just do it.
7. Document everything. Set the tripod up when you do dishes. Set it up when you interview a client. Set it up when you have something to say. Creating content is hard. Sharing what’s already there is the best way to be consistent.
