1800 hours is nothing these days—most millennials and zoomers have to put in well over that just to cover the basics. Personally, I clock around 3,000–3,100 hours a year, and that’s not even counting my side hustles (which I actually enjoy—they fund my fun).
I like working, so no complaints there.
Also grinding toward my real estate/property management license right now. It’s tough juggling that with full-time work (I’m a ticketed electrician), but I’m making it happen.
Those are billable hours. There are tasks you can’t charge the client for. That is not 1800 total hours. 2000 hours is a 40 hour work week with 2 weeks vacation. Which means you have to put in far more, just to get to 1800. Law firms, like consulting companies, only care about how much money you bring in, compared to the others. If you only want a 9-5 (life balance) you won’t get promoted, or even get decent raises.

1800 hours divided by 52 weeks is 35 hours…😂😂😂
I think that’s part of his point. He wasn’t even doing a full 40 hours a week. So, it would have been even worse to talk about work/life balance.
@@danisle4379That’s billable hours, not total hours worked.
i like both these guys but work life balance is no joke we where not put on god green earth just to make someone else rich. but i get what they are saying the entitlement has gotten out of control as well
Grants a sell out..he talks about being an entrepreneur owning something then comes out saying people don’t want to work. People also learned that working for a corporation and giving your whole life to make someone else rich isn’t ideal..ton of boomers are regretting their life and you can see the pain in their eyes from working so much and not living.
*These Mini CEOs could negotiate snack time like pros! Next on the agenda: nap breaks for maximum productivity! 😂*
It’s crazy to us grinders but maybe they are into something…..who really wants to work crazy hours and just work their whole life away?? Why not have less work and more freedom??? Why be a slave to building someone else’s empire??
